Employee Assistance Program (EAP)

EAP Services

Many companies offer to fund psychological counselling sessions to promote health in their employees, which in turn increases productivity, reduces stress and results in higher participation rates. Some companies have particular psychological service providers that they refer to, others allow their employees to select their own psychologists.

If you intend to use an EAP service to fund sessions, you must first gin approval from your HR department or your manager, who should provide you with a written statement that approves a certain number of sessions at an agreed rate (e.g. 4 sessions). Bring this to your first EAP session, with details of where we should forward the invoice (i.e. your company’s finance department, HR department or your manager.
